Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian, who's been performing for some time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea, is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started her professional career in stand-up comedy in 2011, after playing a few small roles she played for Irish and British television dramas starting in 2009. In 2012, she began appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar programs. In the wake of her success in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel show. In 2016 and 2017, she was the team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan, she has one sister called Sinead. She is only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Her surname honors the memory of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on March 16, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who killed himself at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she was thirteen. To honor her dad, she took the stage-name Bea and in 2017 wrote an article about suicides that affected the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised within the home of Helen Moloney who was a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. She and her family loved racing, horses and the racing industry. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young days. She knew, however that it wasn't what she wanted to be for a living and that she was more interested in doing.
